Oooo, we love a good hen do.  We love stationery for a hen do even more.

When lovely Chief Bridesmaid Jo, asked us to design some invitations for Bride to Be Helen ... this is what we created.

An invitation is the first glimpse your guests have to the event you're planning.  It sets the tone.

I love email, texts and a good natter on the phone … but there will never be a substitute for receiving post, especially when the envelope is handwritten and includes an invitation.

Now, there are envelopes and there are envelopes.  They don’t need to be ordinary, off the shelf or to ‘just do’.   We’ve put together a simple method for creating a sparkly inner for your envelopes … make yourself a brew and get making this weekend.

If you’d don’t like the idea of ‘cutting and sticking’ … get in touch and we’ll make them for you.

I’ve recycled the advice of a beautiful friend many a time.  It’s been written in pre-wedding cards, whispered to a nervous bride and now added to our scrapbook.

“Don’t sweat the small stuff” was particularly poignant, as I want everything to be perfect … always and with no exception.

Don’t get me wrong, spending time planning, making, sampling for your wedding is fun and sometimes stressful.  However, once you’ve done all the prep and the wedding day arrives, it’s time to relax, trust your ‘wedding team’ and enjoy the day you’ve been planning for so long.

When you’re thinking about timings or whether your mother has tasted one of the canapés you ordered in specially … don’t … everything will be fine and the day will be perfect because you let it be so.
